FlangedTriple Offset metal-to-metal butterfly valve can be understood as a butterfly valve, with flanged connection, three-eccentric design, and the sealing surface is metal-to-metal structure, this butterfly valve is suitable for industrial applications requiring high reliability and performance, such as chemical, oil, natural gas, electric power and other fields. How do flanged Triple Offset metal-to-metal butterfly valves work

1. With the valve closed, the metal plate is located in the pipe, completely blocking the passage of fluid. At this point, the flange connection ensures that the valve is firmly attached to the pipe.
2. When it is necessary to open the valve, the operator activates the valve through manual or automatic control devices. During start-up, the disc begins to rotate, and its three-offset design makes the rotation trajectory of the disc eccentric. This eccentric design reduces operating torque at start-up and reduces wear.
3. As the disc rotates, the metal-to-metal sealing surface begins to separate, gradually allowing fluid to pass through. The three-offset design of the disc ensures smooth separation of the sealing surface and reduces friction, helping to extend the service life of the valve.
4. When the valve is fully open, fluid can flow freely through the pipe. The metal-to-metal sealing surface ensures good sealing performance of the valve in the open state.
When the valve is closed, the above process is reversed. The butterfly plate gradually contacts and seals, eventually returning to the closed position, preventing the passage of fluid.
